On Nov 1st 2019, Mr. Ali attended the dinner with the Honourable Kevin Rudd AC hosted by China – Australia Chamber Of Commerce ('AustCham') at the China World Summit Wing.

The dinner was attended by major businesses, New Colombo Plan scholars and members of Beijing's greater business community.

In his speech, the Hon. Kevin Rudd AC provided the audience with insights into his experience in China and his current role in the US. He later responded to questions posed by the audience, covering topics surrounding the Chinese business and economic landscape.

During the dinner, Mr. Ali communicated with the Hon. Kevin Rudd AC, Mr. Vaughn Barber the AusCham Beijing Chair, and other representatives of Australian businesses in China, discussing about potential cooperation opportunities.
