The 5th Summit of the Heads of State of the Caspian Littoral States was held in Aktau, Mangystau Region, Kazakhstan.

The day before the Summit, the Akim of Mangystau Region organized the investors and contractors of several key projects in Mangystau Region to show H.E. Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, brief introductions to these projects. BeltWay and SafBon Delegation introduced the seawater desalination plant invested and constructed by BeltWay-SafBon Consortium to H.E. Mr. Nazarbayev. After learning the introduction to the seawater desalination plant, H.E. Mr. Nazarbayev spoke positively and highly of this Project, he mentioned the plant is extremely crucial to the life of local citizen and development of local industry and asked local governmental authorities to cooperate with BeltWay and SafBon to realize the Project as early as possible.

After the presentation, BeltWay and SafBon Delegation met with representitaves from relevant local governmental authorities, discussed the implementation of the Project, and agreed to start construction in October 2018.
